Extended Care Programs

Hurlingham Preschool is pleased to continue to offer extended care on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for our 2025 enrolled Koala Group children. 

This gives Koala families the option for their child to an move seamlessly from their kinder session into the into the extended care session resulting in a  full day at Hurlingham from 8.30am-4pm 

The Extended Care program is an additional cost.

Fees are based  purely around the cost of operating the session. 

We ask for a Term by Term commitment.

Our Acknowledgement of the Traditional Custodians

We acknowledge that we meet and work on land for which the Boonwurrung peoples of the Kulin Nations are the traditional owners and custodians. We pay our respects to the elders past, present and future for they hold the memories, traditions, culture and hope of Indigenous Australians.

Our Acknowledgment of the Victorian State Government

We would like to acknowledge the assistance of the Victorian State Government in funding 15 hours of 4year old kindergarten and 15 hours of 3year old kindergarten in 2024.

Our Statement of Commitment to Child Safety

Hurlingham Preschool has zero tolerance towards child abuse and is committed to establishing and maintaining child safe and child friendly environments. We want children to be and feel safe and happy. We understand our legal and moral obligations to treat all concerns seriously and to report allegations and concerns about a child/ren’s safety and wellbeing to authorities. Hurlingham Preschool maintains and child safe environment by applying the Child Safe Standards and adhering to the Reportable Conduct  and Child Information Schemes

We are committed to the cultural safety of all children including Aboriginal children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.

Our Statement of Commitment to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children

We are committed to:

  • actively supporting and facilitating participation and inclusion of Aboriginal children, young people and their families within our service
  • the safety, participation and empowerment of Aboriginal children
  • providing an educational program that strengthens Aboriginal children’s culture and identity
  • actively supporting and encouraging Aboriginal children to express their culture and enjoy their cultural rights
  • supporting Aboriginal children and their families to identify as Aboriginal without fear of retribution or questioning
  • supporting Aboriginal children to maintain connection to their kinship ties, land and country
  • supporting Aboriginal children to be taught their cultural heritage by Elders
  • facilitating regular training and education on Aboriginal cultural and cultural safety
  • establishing policies, procedures, systems and processes to create a culturally safe and inclusive environment and meet the needs of Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
