Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Please note that in keeping with the new National Child Safety Standards, it is Hurlingham Preschool’s policy that all volunteers on parent duty and excursions/incursions require a current Working With Children Check (WWCC). This has now become standard in the industry with all schools, clubs and associations requiring a WWCC in order to volunteer, even if only for one Parent Helper session or excursion.

WWCC is NOT required just for picking up or dropping off your child or attending kinder functions eg. Mother’s / Father’s Day. For further information please visit
www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au

Don’t have a WWCC?

It is quick and easy to apply for one and is also free when required for volunteers. We recommend both parents start this process now if you haven’t already done so. If you don’t have one you are unable to be a Parent Helper at the kindergarten in your child’s session. This is a highly recommended, rewarding activity – and possibly the only opportunity you will have to attend in this capacity during their education lifetime.

You can find the application online at the following website: www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au

After completing the online form you then finalise the application at an Australia Post outlet.
There is a simple search using the Post shop finder on the application form however if you are near the kindergarten the closest outlets that are able to process your application are:

North Brighton Post Shop
374 Bay St, Brighton

Bentleigh Post Shop
366 Centre Rd, Bentleigh
