World Storytelling Day at Hurlingham Preschool

In collaboration with the Raising Children Network, Hurlingham Preschool hosted professional storyteller Ann E. Stewart for World Storytelling Day on the 20th March.  Photographed by The Herald Sun, the initiative will help raise the importance of reading to children in their early years.  Ann told the children some delightful and interactive stories, and the children and teachers loved the experience!

The Hurlingham Christmas Party!

Huge fun was had by all our children across the 3 and 4 year old groups, their older siblings and parents (well, it was BYO) at Lollipops for the annual Hurlingham Christmas Party. Information Night

The Info Night is on Wednesday November 21st at Hurlingham Preschool 7.30pm. Homemade pizza from our pizza oven, made to our special recipe, will be served from 7pm, with light refreshments, for a 7.30pm sharp start. Hurlingham Holiday Picnic

On a beautiful warm afternoon during the Spring Holidays, Hurlingham families from across the groups met in Ripponlea Gardens for a picnic and run around for the kids. It was a great chance for the kids to reconnect after a short break, and to enjoy the gardens and new spaces together, and for the parents to reconnect and unwind too!

Not long until our Art Show

Our annual Art Show will take place on Sunday 21 October, invitations will come home soon. All our groups including our 3 year old Echidnas will take part, with the theme “The Sky’s the Limit”. Details to follow!

It’s Picnic Time!

It’s time for a Hurlingham gathering – all groups and ages invited! On Thursday 4th October at 12pm we’ll meet at Rippon Lea House for a picnic and run-around and a play at the beautiful Ripponlea Gardens. Our revitalised courtyard is taking shape

Last week our new hardwood bench surrounding the tree in our courtyard was laid, and the Kinder groups have already had a merry time exploring and climbing on it! In the next few weeks the landscaping will be completed, and a selection of indigenous plants native to the Bayside area will be laid, with stepping stones to create areas of discovery.
